Army Chief warns Pakistan in the strongest terms yet: stop state-sponsored terrorism or risk being erased from the map. He said, escalating tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbours.ndia has delivered its sharpest warning yet to Pakistan: stop state-sponsored terrorism, or cease to exist on the map.The statement by the army chief warning Pakistan marks a shift in India’s posture on cross-border terrorism
Speaking at a frontline Army post in Anupgarh, Rajasthan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi minced no words. “If Pakistan wants to retain its place in geography, it must stop supporting terror. This time, we will not exercise restraint,” he declared, referring to the recent military response known as Operation Sindoor.
General Dwivedi’s statement comes on the heels of Air Chief Marshal AP Singh’s revelation that India downed multiple Pakistani fighter jets—including F-16s and JF-17s—during the May offensive.

No Restraint in Next Strike, Warns India
General Dwivedi made it clear: the Indian military won’t hold back if provoked again.
“This time, we won’t show the restraint we showed during Operation Sindoor 1.0,” he warned. “We’ll act in a way that forces Pakistan to question if it even wants to remain on the map.”
Operation Sindoor was launched as a counterstrike following the Pahalgam terror attack in May. In a swift, targeted offensive on May 7, Indian forces struck nine terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Precision weapons were used to avoid civilian casualties while eliminating terror infrastructure.
The operation pushed both nations to the brink of war. However, tensions de-escalated on May 10, after Pakistani commanders reportedly pleaded with Indian officials to halt the offensive.
Soldiers on Alert, Heroes Honoured
General Dwivedi also signaled possible further action. “Stay prepared. If God wills, you’ll get the opportunity again. All the best,” he told the troops.
Importantly, he emphasized that India’s operation targeted only terror elements—not civilians or military infrastructure. “Our focus was clear: terrorist hideouts, training camps, and masterminds,” he said.
This latest warning from India’s top Army commander shows a dramatic shift in strategy: zero tolerance for terrorism, and zero restraint in response. With Pakistan facing mounting pressure, the region stands on edge—watching, waiting, and wondering what comes next.
