Two companies of Tata Group will set up semiconductor plants in Gujarat-Assam, impact will be visible on the stock
Cabinet Decisions, Semi Conductor Plant: Two companies of Tata Group, Tata Electric Private Limited (TEPL) and Tata Semiconductor Assembly and Test Private Limited (TSAT) are going to set up semiconductor plants in Gujarat and Assam. TEPL, in collaboration with Taiwanese company Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp (PSMC), will set up a plant in Dholera, Gujarat and TSAT in Morigaon, Assam. Apart from this, CG Power will set up a semiconductor plant in Sanand, Gujarat in partnership with Renesas Electronics Corporation of Japan and Stars Micro Electronics of Thailand. The Cabinet has approved the proposal for all three plants.
