14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi on Monday created a record of becoming the youngest half-centurion in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He achieved this feat in just 17 balls for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The youngster also registered the fastest half-century of the IPL 2025 season, spoiling the face of Gujarat Titans.
Suryavanshi did not spare any bowler. Not only this, he hit the balls of senior Indian bowlers like Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Siraj fiercely. Vaibhav made his intentions clear by scoring 28 runs in the fourth over bowled by Ishant Sharma. India’s senior fast bowler was clearly shaken, as he also bowled two wide balls.
Suryavanshi hit a six off Mohammed Siraj’s ball on the third ball of the match against Gujarat Titans, making his intentions clear from the beginning. With this innings, Suryavanshi registered the second-fastest half-century by any Rajasthan Royals batsman. He also scored the fastest half-century by any player against Gujarat Titans in the IPL.
