Rocky was murdered near Parwanoo in Himachal Pradesh in May 2016. Notorious gangster Jaipal Bhullar took responsibility for the murder. Bhullar was later shot dead in Calcutta in June 2020.
Lawrence Bishnoi’s name cropped up at the national level in 2018, when his close associate Sampat Nehra was arrested. Nehra, arrested from Bengaluru in June 2018, had revealed that Lawrence had assigned him the task of eliminating Bollywood star Salman Khan in the blackbuck poaching case.
