British company AstraZeneca, which makes Covishield, has admitted for the first time in court documents that its Covid 19 vaccine can cause rare side effects. After this acceptance by this leading pharmaceutical company, many health related questions are being raised all over the world. The British newspaper The Telegraph has published an investigative report regarding this on April 28. According to this report by The Telegraph, AstraZeneca, the company making the Covishield vaccine, has admitted for the first time in court documents that the vaccine may cause rare side effects.

The company has acknowledged that its vaccine may, in very rare cases, cause thrombocytopenia syndrome, or TTS. Along with this, a rare side effect called thrombosis may also occur in those taking it. However, the vaccine manufacturer has said in court documents that Covishield can cause such a condition only in rare cases. Side effects caused by this can include blood clots and reduced platelet count, which increases the risk of heart attack.

Covishield vaccine manufacturer AstraZeneca has accepted this when it is facing lawsuits related to allegations of serious harm to human health and many deaths due to this vaccine in some cases. It is believed that the company may have to pay damages worth several million pounds.
