Neetu Chandra’s Agrifeeder: Global Stage for Bihar Farmers
In a major milestone for Indian agriculture, the Bihar-based startup Agrifeeder has officially secured USA FDA certification. This achievement enables the export of high-quality agricultural produce sourced directly from farmers across Bihar to international markets. Co-founded by National Award-winning actor and entrepreneur Neetu Chandra, alongside Priya Pandey, Raman Kumar, and Raunak Kumar, the company is bridging the gap between local fields and global consumers.
A Global Identity Grounded in Trust
The company announced this milestone at an event held at Bihar Niwas in New Delhi. During the launch, Agrifeeder unveiled its new global-facing brand identity: Agrifeeder by Neetu Chandra. Under this brand, all international packaging will carry Neetu Chandra’s name and visual identity. Consequently, this move reinforces trust, accountability, and global consumer recall for Bihar’s native products.
Commenting on the launch, Neetu Chandra stated that putting her name on the packaging represents a long-term commitment to the quality and livelihoods connected to every product. Furthermore, she emphasized that Bihar’s produce can now compete internationally on merit.
Neetu Chandra, widely recognised as “Bihar ki Beti,” is a Hollywood actress, National Award–winning Indian producer, actor, entrepreneur, theatre artist, and social activist. She continues to champion regional identity, women’s empowerment, and sustainable community-led impact and this is her next move to support the farmers of Bihar by associating herself with Agrifeeder.
Empowering 50,000+ Farmers with Higher Income
Currently, Agrifeeder works with a massive network of over 50,000 farmers across Bihar. The startup supports them through direct market linkage, branding, and supply-chain coordination. Most importantly, the objective is to enable farmers to earn up to 10x higher income by transitioning from commodity selling to value-led, export-ready markets.
Key products native to Bihar include:
- Herbal Teas: Lemongrass herbal tea in six unique flavours.
- Nutritional Mixes: Chanasattu with moringa or wheatgrass powder mixes.
- GI-Tagged Specialties: Bhagalpuri Jardalu mango and Bhagalpuri Katarni rice/poha.
- Organic Staples: Raw honey in six flavours and jaggery maize.
Relocating to the Root: A Bihar-First Model
In a bold move to embed itself within the local ecosystem, Agrifeeder has relocated its core operations from Bengaluru to Dubuoli village in Pirpainti, near Bhagalpur. By moving into the heart of Bihar, the team can coordinate directly with the farming community. Additionally, the company has adopted the village as part of a long-term initiative focused on local employment and agricultural growth.
Co-founder Priya Pandey noted that the USA FDA certification is a defining moment. It validates years of groundwork and allows the company to take Bihar’s produce to the world with confidence and quality assurance.
Founded in 2017, Agrifeeder was created to address structural challenges faced by small and marginal farmers, including limited market access, price volatility, and dependence on intermediaries. With USA FDA certification and the launch of Agrifeeder by Neetu Chandra, the startup enters its next phase focused on exports and international market expansion while remaining firmly rooted in Bihar.
Founded in 2017, Agrifeeder is a Bihar-based agri-commerce platform working directly with over 50,000 farmers across the state to improve farm incomes through market access, branding, packaging, and supply-chain integration. Focused on indigenous and region-specific agricultural produce, the company enables value addition through quality standardisation, traceability, and differentiated consumer-facing brands. With a Bihar-first operating model and a growing global footprint, Agrifeeder is committed to building a sustainable, export-oriented platform rooted in farmer empowerment and regional excellence.
