During the by-elections being held on nine seats in Uttar Pradesh, there have been allegations of people being stopped from voting at many places. There have been complaints of ID cards being torn at some places. At some places, there was a demand for checking those who went to vote in burqas. Meanwhile, there have been complaints of police checking ID cards at many places and there has been an uproar over this. There were also reports of stone pelting at many places. After the complaint, action has also been taken against some police officers.
Akhilesh Yadav has said, ‘The voters in Uttar Pradesh who have been stopped from voting by the police-administration should go and vote once again. The news of this electoral malpractice has spread everywhere. The Election Commission has also become alert and now assurance is being given from its side that those who have been stopped from voting should go once again and definitely cast their vote. Now no malpractice will be allowed.’
Akhilesh further said, ‘If anyone stops you again, then inform the Election Commission officials or people from political parties present there or complain directly to the Election Commission. Thanks for this assurance from the Election Commission. Dishonest officials of the administration and police will not be spared. Their video evidence will become the basis for legal action against them. Go without fear and cast your vote!’
Akhilesh Yadav held a press conference amidst the voting for the by-election. He said that BJP is afraid of losing, so they themselves are causing trouble. Akhilesh said that I hope the Election Commission will take action against dishonest officials. BJP is pressurizing the administration to do dishonesty due to fear of losing.
SP leader Akhilesh has said that he has asked his workers to make videos of the irregularities. Akhilesh said that Samajwadi Party will definitely win this election but if this matter goes to the court then such officers will be proven guilty on the basis of these evidences.
Akhilesh has said that the officer involved in the scam will lose his job, salary, pension, PF and even his respect.
