A dramatic incident took place in the Parliament premises on Thursday when a clash broke out between BJP-Congress MPs. MPs of both BJP and Congress parties were protesting against Amit Shah’s comment on Ambedkar. During this, allegations of pushing and shoving were made. While BJP has alleged that its MP was injured, Congress has said that BJP MPs pushed the party president when he was trying to enter the Parliament.

After the scuffle between India Alliance and BJP MPs, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge wrote a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker alleging that he was pushed on the stairs as BJP MPs tried to stop his entry.

Earlier, the Amit Shah-Ambedkar controversy remained the center of discussion in Parliament on Thursday as well. Due to this, the proceedings of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha had to be adjourned just minutes after they began. Opposition MPs were demanding a discussion on the Ambedkar controversy. Earlier, India Alliance MPs have accused Amit Shah of insulting Ambedkar outside the Parliament House and demonstrated with banners and placards. BJP also held a similar demonstration accusing Congress of insulting Ambedkar.

India Block MPs demonstrated in the Parliament premises with BR Ambedkar banners and demanded an apology from Shah. Meanwhile, a new controversy has arisen between Rahul Gandhi and BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi. Meanwhile, two injured BJP MPs have been taken to RML Hospital.

BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi pushed an MP while entering Parliament, who fell on Sarangi and injured him. Sarangi claimed that he was standing near the stairs when Rahul Gandhi came and pushed another MP on him. The BJP MP was taken out of the premises on a wheelchair after being injured. The BJP has released a video and alleged that ‘Hateful act of Rahul Gandhi who runs Mohabbat ki Dukaan!’

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi said that BJP MPs tried to stop him from entering the Parliament and are diverting attention from the real issue. Rahul Gandhi gave a statement to media persons on this issue outside the Parliament. This statement has also been released by the Congress Party on X.

He said, ‘This can be in your camera. I was trying to enter through the entrance of the Parliament, BJP MPs were trying to stop me, push and intimidate me. That’s why this happened… Yes, this has happened (Mallikarjun Kharge was pushed). But we are not affected by the pushing. But this is the entrance and we have the right to go inside. BJP MPs were trying to stop us from going inside… The main issue is that they are attacking the Constitution and insulting the memory of Ambedkar ji.’

Amid allegations and counter-allegations between BJP-Congress, Congress has released a video claiming that Kharge, Priyanka and other opposition MPs were stopped by BJP MPs. It posted the video and wrote, ‘It is clearly visible in this video… BJP MPs with sticks and placards in their hands are stopping opposition MPs from entering the House. BJP MPs are pushing Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge ji, Priyanka Gandhi ji and other women MPs. This is sheer hooliganism. BJP is ruling the temple of democracy. This will not be tolerated at any cost.

Home Minister Amit Shah has landed in deep trouble after making this statement on Ambedkar. Congress first demanded an apology, then demanded his resignation and now has demanded his dismissal.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge held a press conference on Wednesday and said that if Prime Minister Narendra Modi has faith in the Dalit leader, he should dismiss him from the Union Cabinet. He has said that if PM Modi does not dismiss the Union Home Minister from the Union Cabinet, people will come out on the streets.

Amit Shah on Wednesday alleged that Congress leaders are presenting facts in a distorted manner. He said, ‘…Congress is an anti-Ambedkar party, Congress is an anti-reservation and anti-constitution party. Congress also insulted Savarkar ji, Congress destroyed all the values of the Constitution by imposing emergency, ignored women’s dignity for years, always insulted the judiciary, insulted the martyrs of the army and even had the audacity to give India’s land to other countries by breaking the Constitution during Congress rule.’
