A year-long historic celebration under the ‘Hamara Samvidhaan, Hamara Swabhiman’ campaign began across the country on Tuesday to mark the completion of 75 years of the adoption of the Constitution of India. On this occasion, President Draupadi Murmu addressed a joint sitting of both the Houses of Parliament. This marks the beginning of a year-long celebration of 75 years of the adoption of the Constitution of India.

Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi attended the Constitution Day celebrations at Parliament where President Draupadi Murmu addressed a joint sitting of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. “The basic spirit of our Constitution is that justice and rights should be equal for all. Everyone should get an opportunity to live with self-respect. The Constitution is a powerful tool to protect the poorest and weakest sections of society. The stronger it is, the stronger our country will be,” the Congress leader said in a post.
