For many days, reports of closure of FIITJEE centers are coming from many cities of the country. Parents are protesting at FIITJEE centers in Noida-Ghaziabad, Meerut. But the government has not paid any heed to it. Crores of rupees collected as advance fees have gone waste. Reports of centers being closed have come from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, MP and Delhi. This institute prepares students for engineering entrance exams.

According to reports, the process of closing centers has been going on since last week. Engineering entrance exam JEE Main exam is near. This has come as a huge shock to students and parents. Angry students and parents have filed a complaint with the police and demanded a refund of fees. These students preparing for engineering entrance exam JEE Main had deposited an advance fee of 4 to 5 lakh rupees. Five crore rupees of students have gone waste due to the closure of just Meerut center of FIITJEE.

FIITJEE officials said that due to non-payment of salary, many teachers quit their jobs together, after which the decision to close the coaching centre was taken. An official of a branch of FIITJEE said on the condition of anonymity that ‘the financial condition of the institute was bad for a long time, salary was not being given on time. In such a situation, many teachers got offers from other places and people went there.’

The biggest center of FIITJEE in Kalu Sarai near IIT in Delhi has also been closed. The teachers here were not getting salaries. So the classes were closed after they left the job. The security guards of the Kalu Sarai center said that the management people have not come to the center for five days. No one is picking up the calls being made on the phone numbers given on the FIITJEE website.

In Patna too, students have alleged that FIITJEE closed the coaching centers after taking a hefty fee. The angry students have lodged a complaint in Patna’s Kotwali police station. A case has been registered in the police station against FIITJEE director DK Goyal, CFO Manish Anand, center head Rajiv Babbar and RK Thakur. A case of fraud has been registered against all of them.

On the closure of FIITJEE centers, a user wrote on Instagram – This was bound to happen..!! FIITJEE… BYJU’S… and many more… They were exploiting parents financially and destroying the lives of students and employees. This will keep happening in a country like India until the education system and parents change.

Meanwhile, a police officer in Noida said on Thursday that many branches of coaching centers have been closed. This institute is facing financial crisis. It is facing violation of licensing and fire safety rules. Parents created a ruckus at FIITJEE Coaching Center located in Sector-62 on Wednesday evening. Parents allege that the coaching center operator has absconded after collecting the entire fee and closing the center. A complaint has been lodged at Sector-58 police station.

Ghaziabad District School Inspector Dharmendra Sharma said, “After the instructions of ADM (Administration), our department’s team checked the documents and found that there is no registration of FIITJEE center at the given address. This is a clear violation of UP Coaching Regulation Act, 2002.” At the same time, the complaint lodged by the Education Department in Kavinagar police station states, “It is clear from the investigation that those who were running coaching cheated the parents / children and charged fees from them. Please file an FIR and take legal action against them.” After this, an FIR was registered against four senior officials of the center, Chairperson DK Goyal, Chief Operation Officer Manish Anand, Group Financial Officer Rajiv Babbar and Center Incharge Ashish Gupta.
