Hasina’s first statement after the coup- I want justice from the countrymen

Sheikh Hasina has issued a statement for the first time after resigning from the post of PM of Bangladesh and leaving the country. Hasina targeted the forces behind her removal from the post of Prime Minister of Bangladesh and the violence perpetrators, saying that they have insulted the blood of millions of martyrs, I want justice from the countrymen.
Sheikh Hasina has demanded that the rioters in the country be punished. She has also demanded justice for damaging the statue of her father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who was also the founder of Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina has issued a statement in the Bengali language on the X account of her son Sajib Wajed. In this, she described the coup against the Awami League as a grave insult to her father, Bangladesh’s founding President Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and many martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country.
Sheikh Hasina remembered the family members who were martyred along with her father’s assassination in 1975. She said, ‘The Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, under whose leadership we gained self-respect as an independent nation, achieved self-identity and got an independent country, has been grossly insulted.’
The Awami League chief also urged Bangladeshi citizens to observe a national day of mourning on August 15, the anniversary of the assassination of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. She said, ‘I appeal to you to observe the national day of mourning on August 15 with due respect and seriousness. Pray for the liberation of all souls by offering floral wreaths and prayers at the Bangabandhu Bhaban.’
