Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has made a big bang as soon as he came out of jail. He has announced his resignation in a shocking manner. He has said that he will resign from the post of Chief Minister in two days.
Kejriwal said, ‘The case will continue even after the court granted us bail. I have spoken to my lawyers. I will not sit on the CM’s chair until the case is over. After two days, I am going to resign from the CM’s post. I will not sit on the CM’s chair until the public elects me and sends me to the seat again.’
This announcement by the Delhi Chief Minister has come a few days after he came out of Tihar Jail after being in custody for about six months in the Delhi Excise Policy case. He reached the new party headquarters for the first time on Sunday morning, where he thanked all the workers of Aam Aadmi Party and also announced his resignation. Earlier, when Kejriwal went to jail, the opposition party BJP was constantly demanding his resignation. But Kejriwal did not resign then.
Why did Kejriwal not resign before going to jail or while being in jail? He has also answered this question. He said, ‘I did not resign after going to jail because I wanted to save democracy. If I had resigned from jail, they would have put all the Chief Ministers of the opposition in jail and toppled the government. I request all the Chief Ministers of the opposition that if they put you in jail, do not resign because we have shown that the government can be run from jail.’This announcement by the Delhi Chief Minister has come a few days after he came out of Tihar Jail after being in custody for about six months in the

I have nothing except my honesty. My bank accounts are empty. I left my job as a commissioner of the Income Tax Department and lived in slums. I had a passion to serve the country. I have no greed for position or wealth. I have a passion to serve the country.
He said, ‘Today I have come to ask the public whether you consider Kejriwal honest or a criminal. Now until the people of Delhi give their verdict, I will not sit on the CM’s chair. I will resign from the post of Chief Minister 2 days from today.’
Manish Sisodia also addressed the party workers. He said, ‘I came into politics to work honestly for education. I worked honestly as the Education Minister of Delhi for 10 years. I built schools. I built new universities.’
