A big controversy has erupted regarding Kedarnath temple. There are two reasons for this. One is regarding the construction of another Kedarnath temple in New Delhi and the other is regarding the allegations of Jyotirmath Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand about the disappearance of gold from Kedarnath. He has alleged that there has been a scam of 228 kg gold in Kedarnath, this gold has gone missing and it is not being investigated.

Jyotirmath’s Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand expressed strong objection to the construction of Kedarnath temple in the national capital, saying that there cannot be a symbolic Kedarnath. He said, ’12 Jyotirlingas are mentioned with their names and places in Shivpuran.

last year a senior priest of Kedarnath temple had alleged a scam of up to Rs 125 crore in the gold plating work of Kedarnath temple. He claimed that brass was used for gold plating. The temple committee had denied this allegation. However, now Shankaracharya said, ‘228 kg of gold is missing from Kedarnath… no investigation has been started. Who is responsible for it? Now they are saying that they will build Kedarnath in Delhi, this cannot happen.

Protest against construction of Kedarnath temple in Delhi Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday participated in the Bhoomi Pujan at Hiranki Mohalla near Burari in northwest Delhi and laid the foundation stone of the new Kedarnath temple. Now protest against this has started.

Priests of Kedarnath temple in Rudraprayag district protested in front of the temple. They gathered under the banner of Kedar Sabha and along with various other organizations raised slogans against the Uttarakhand state government and the Chief Minister.
