The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday told a Delhi court that Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, accused in the National Herald case, have allegedly earned Rs 142 crore from the proceeds of crime. Additional Solicitor General SV Raju, representing the federal agency in the National Herald money laundering case, said the accused were “enjoying the proceeds of crime” until the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seized assets worth Rs 751.9 crore linked to the National Herald in November 2023. The ED further claimed that the Gandhi family not only laundered money by earning the proceeds of crime but also kept that money with themselves.
Jyoti Malhotra was in direct contact with Pakistani official

YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra has confessed to being in regular touch with an employee of the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi, officials confirmed. According to Hisar police spokesperson Vikas Kumar, Malhotra admitted during interrogation that she was in touch with Pakistani national and High Commission official Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish from November 2023 to March 2025. Officials believe Danish was actively working to develop Malhotra as an intelligence asset.
“She has confessed to having direct contact with Danish during this period. She was also in touch with several other YouTube influencers. Her three mobile phones and laptops, along with two phones of Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC) IT in-charge Harkirat Singh, have been sent for forensic examination,” Kumar said.
Bail to former IAS trainee Pooja Khedkar
The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted anticipatory bail to former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) trainee officer Pooja Khedkar, who is accused of forging documents and allegedly misusing the OBC non-creamy layer quota to qualify for the 2022 civil services entrance exam. Granting relief to Khedkar, the Supreme Court said she is “not a drug mafia or a terrorist”, while the Delhi Police strongly opposed the anticipatory bail, saying she was not cooperating in the investigation.

Suicide attack on school bus in Balochistan kills 4 children
A suicide car bomb hit a school bus in Balochistan, Pakistan, killing four children and injuring 38 others.
