In the Quad meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the meeting of Quad leaders is taking place at a time when the world is surrounded by conflicts and tensions. He did not name countries like China, but has also given them a message. He said that they are not against anyone and they all support the rules-based international order, respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity and peaceful resolution of all disputes. It is understood that this has been said in reference to China.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Quad working together on the basis of democratic values is very important for the whole of humanity. PM Modi said, ‘Free, open, inclusive and prosperous Indo-Pacific is our shared priority and shared commitment.’

PM Modi is on a three-day visit to the US for the Quad summit. He held bilateral talks with President Biden at his residence ahead of the summit, where the two leaders discussed ways to enhance US-India relations and address regional and global conflicts.
PM Modi has said about the meeting with the Japanese PM, ‘Had a very good meeting with Prime Minister Kishida. Cooperation in infrastructure, semiconductors, defense, green energy and other areas was discussed. Strong relations between India and Japan are very good for global prosperity.’
He also met the Australian PM. Modi said, “Had a wide-ranging discussion with Prime Minister Albanese. We want to add even more momentum in areas such as trade, security, space and culture. India greatly values the time-tested friendship with Australia.”
PM Modi is scheduled to address the US-Indian community at an event in New York, meet US tech business leaders and deliver a speech at the United Nations General Assembly.
