Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrived in Dallas, Texas, on Sunday for a three-day visit to the United States, where he received a warm reception from the Indian diaspora and members of the Indian Overseas Congress (IOC). He shared photos of his welcome on social media, expressing his gratitude, stating, “I’m truly pleased with the warm reception from the Indian diaspora and IOC members in Dallas, Texas.”
He further added, “I look forward to engaging in meaningful discussions and insightful interactions during this visit, which will help further strengthen the ties between our two countries.”

After his visit to Dallas, the Congress leader will be in Washington, DC, on September 9-10. The Washington, DC visit holds particular significance. According to IOC chief Sam Pitroda, the diaspora—including NRI residents, technocrats, business leaders, students, media professionals, and even political leaders—are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to welcome and engage with the Congress MP.
“A lot of events have been planned with different people as they also have interest in states where there are Congress party governments. Especially in tech cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune. We are seeing a lot of interest in interacting with the business and tech community,” Sam said.
