Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has written – Sad news from Rajouri. We have lost a dedicated officer of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service. Just yesterday he was roaming in the district with the Deputy CM and attended the online meeting chaired by me. Today there was Pakistani shelling on the officer’s residence, in which Rajouri city was targeted, in which our Additional District Development Commissioner Raj Kumar Thappa died. I have no words to express grief and shock at this terrible loss of life. May his soul rest in peace. PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti has also expressed grief over the martyrdom of the officer of the Jammu and Kashmir government and condemned the attack.

Drone Attack Foiled in Amritsar

The Army has reported that Pakistan continues its aggression along India’s western borders, using drone incursions and other weaponry. Early this morning, around 5 a.m., several armed enemy drones were detected flying over Khasa Cantt in Amritsar. Acting swiftly, Indian air defence units intercepted and successfully shot down the drones, preventing any potential damage or threat.

Operation Bunyan Mars
According to the BBC, the Pakistan Army has announced that it has launched Operation Bunyan Mars in retaliation against India. Pakistan said in its briefing that India has targeted three of our airports. Which includes Rawalpindi’s Noor Khan Airport.

China’s appeal to India-Pakistan
China ‘strongly’ urged India and Pakistan to avoid escalating tensions. China’s Foreign Ministry said on Saturday that China “strongly” urged India and Pakistan to avoid further escalating the current fight. The Foreign Ministry spokesperson said in a statement, “We strongly call on both India and Pakistan to give priority to peace and stability, maintain calm and restraint, return to the path of political settlement through peaceful means and avoid actions that further escalate tensions.”
