Pakistan’s Foreign Minister said, if India stops, we will also reduce tension. According to an AP report, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said on Saturday that his country would consider reducing tension if India does not carry out further attacks. Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated further as Pakistan tried to attack 26 targets in India on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday. India successfully attacked six major Pakistani airbases overnight – Chaklala in Rawalpindi, Murid in Chakwal, Rafiqui in Shorkot, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur and Chuniyan.
Two blasts in Srinagar
According to PTI, officials said that two massive explosions took place in Srinagar on Saturday morning. They said that two massive explosions were heard near Srinagar airport at around 11.45 am. They said that the explosions caused panic among the people, as power supply was disrupted in the city and other parts of the valley. It is reported that something heavy has also fallen in Dal Lake. He told that the sound of siren was also heard in some areas. Earlier, several explosions took place in the city in the morning, hours after the Indian Army foiled drone attacks by Pakistan at several places on Friday night. Explosions were heard near important installations including the airport.
US spoke, said – both countries should talk to each other
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke to Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and stressed the need for both sides to reduce tensions and restore direct dialogue to prevent any miscalculations. Secretary of State Rubio also offered US support in facilitating constructive dialogue to help avoid future conflicts.
The army said that Pakistan continues to attack our western borders with drone attacks and other weapons. In one such incident, at around 5 am today, several enemy armed drones were seen flying over Khasa Cantt in Amritsar. The enemy drones were immediately shot down by our air defense units.
Terrorist hideout destroyed in Sialkot
In response to Pakistan’s unprovoked firing on BSF posts in Jammu, the Border Security Force “responded in an appropriate manner, causing extensive damage to Pakistan Rangers posts and properties along the international border”. BSF Jammu said, “The terrorist launch pad at Luni in Sialkot district opposite Akhnoor sector was completely destroyed by the BSF. Our resolve to protect India’s sovereignty remains unwavering.”
What fell inside Dal Lake in Srinagar
Officials said that after loud explosions in Srinagar on Saturday morning, a missile-like object fell inside the Dal Lake. The incident has taken place amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan. The army is trying to find out whether it was a missile or a Pakistani drone.
Attack on 3 Pakistani airbases
Government sources said on Saturday that India successfully attacked four major Pakistani airbases in the late night of Friday-Saturday, causing heavy damage to military installations and properties. The targeted airbases include Noor Khan in Rawalpindi, Muridke in Chakwal and Rafiqui in Shorkot. The army has written – Pakistan’s blatant attempt to violate India’s sovereignty and endanger civilians is unacceptable. The Indian Army will foil the enemy’s plans.
Jammu Kashmir officer killed in firing
ADC Rajkumar Thappa of Rajouri was martyred in the firing by Pakistan in Rajouri area of Jammu Kashmir. Pakistan has said that it has launched a retaliatory attack. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah himself has given information about this by tweeting. Meanwhile, a drone attack was carried out by Pakistan in Khasa Cantt of Amritsar, which was foiled by the Indian Army. The army itself gave information about this by tweeting.

Today there was Pakistani shelling on the officer’s residence, targeting Rajouri town, in which our additional district development commissioner Raj Kumar Thappa lost his life. I have no words to express my grief and shock at this horrific loss of life. May his soul rest in peace. PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti has also expressed grief over the martyrdom of the Jammu and Kashmir government official and condemned the attack.
