On the completion of 11 years of Modi government, BJP highlighted the major achievements of its government, while Congress reacted sharply to these claims and listed the failures of the government.

While on one hand BJP called the 11 years of Modi government as ‘golden chapter of development’ and beat the drum of achievements, on the other hand Congress attacked it by calling it ‘era of slogans’. BJP called the achievements of the government ‘unparalleled’ and celebrated on a large scale and has planned to boast about the achievements for a month, Congress has called these achievements propaganda and slogans. There is a lot of commotion in the political corridors, because this war of words between the two big parties has now reached the streets from social media.

BJP National President JP Nadda, while addressing a press conference in New Delhi, described the 11 years of Modi government as ‘written in golden letters’. Nadda said, ’11 years ago the country was immersed in the politics of appeasement, but PM Modi changed it and started the politics of accountability and development.’ He counted decisions like abolition of Article 370, ban on triple talaq, Citizenship Amendment Act i.e. CAA, demonetization and women reservation as the major achievements of the government. Nadda claimed that India is now moving towards becoming the fourth largest economy in the world and foreign exchange reserves have also increased significantly.https://twitter.com/BJP4India/status/1932089445483757648

BJP also took its schemes to the public through the #11YearsOfSeva campaign on social media. The party claimed that 4 crore houses were built under the PM Awas Yojana, 10 crore gas connections under the Ujjwala Yojana, and 50 crore people were given free health facilities under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. It said that during the 11-year tenure of the Modi government, crores of people got banking facilities under the Jan Dhan Yojana, which promoted financial inclusion.

The BJP has said, ‘Prime Minister Modi has pledged to end Naxalism from India by March 31, 2026. In the 2025 budget, tax exemption was given on income up to Rs 12 lakh, which gave relief to the middle class. Ramlala’s Pran Pratishtha was completed in Ayodhya, which boosted religious tourism. Apart from this, emphasis is also being laid on their renovation and revival to promote the cultural heritage of the country.

The BJP said that during the 11 years of the Prime Minister’s tenure, India has taken big steps towards national security, self-reliance and social reforms. It said that Pakistan-backed terrorists and their masters have been given a befitting reply by entering their homes not once but three times. It said that the Triple Talaq law provided legal protection to Muslim women.
Congress’s counter-attack: ‘Jumla Sarkar’
On the other hand, the Congress launched a scathing attack on the Modi government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wrote on social media, ’11 years of Modi government – no accountability, no change, only propaganda.’ He accused the government of not fulfilling promises and failing on issues like inflation, unemployment. Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera said that the government focused only on propaganda in 11 years, while the problems of the common people remained unresolved.

In its document ‘Ek Aur Baar Jumla Sarkar’, Congress called BJP’s 2024 manifesto and previous promises incomplete. The party alleged that the government has failed to provide employment to the youth, proper support price to the farmers, and economic relief to the poor.

Congress said in a press conference, ‘BJP has come up with a 150-page booklet, in which the account of 11 years has been written. In this booklet, such things are being said about Nari Shakti Vandan Act, as if it has already been implemented, but the truth is that it has to be implemented after the census. Today JP Nadda ji held a press conference and made big claims in it, in which you will find very weak figures. The truth is that these are not 11 years of Modi government, but 11 years of ‘No Data Government’.

Congress said, ‘We have been constantly asking questions to the Modi government and telling what are the claims of this government versus the truth? These are 11 years of NO DATA AVAILABLE government. These are not 11 years of Modi government but of Modi propaganda. These are 11 years of slow GDP growth, where there is neither policy nor intention. These are 11 years of waiting for accountability.’

BJP said, ‘If you ask any poor, backward, deprived and Dalit class person today, he will say that these are 11 useless years. In the last 11 years, 906 schemes were announced in the Modi government, the truth of which is that about 71% schemes failed and this is the truth of the Jumla government.’

Congress has said that BJP claims that it distributed Rs 3.7 lakh crore to PM Kisan beneficiaries, while the reality is that between April 2022 and November 2023, about 2.25 crore beneficiaries were removed from the list itself.

Congress said that after that BJP claimed that 25 lakh new farmers were included in the list, while the reality is that only 13 lakh farmers were included in it.

On the completion of 11 years of Modi government, a fierce debate was seen between the ruling and opposition parties on social media. BJP supporters highlighted the development works of the government such as Vande Bharat trains, Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, and restoration of peace in Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, opposition leaders and workers raised questions on the policies of the government by raising unemployment, inflation, and social issues.

On the completion of 11 years of Modi government, while BJP is considering it a symbol of development and good governance, the opposition is calling it a period of propaganda and jumlabaazi. As the 2027 elections are approaching, this political war between the two sides is likely to intensify.
