The first budget of the third term of the Modi government will come on Tuesday i.e. 23rd July. But this session of Parliament will start from Monday itself. The opposition is very strong this time and it is believed that the government may have to face very tough questions on many issues. There are also possibilities of uproar. A glimpse of this was seen in the first session of this government last month when the India alliance under the leadership of opposition leader Rahul Gandhi looked very aggressive. The budget session is also likely to be no less aggressive and full of heated arguments.

this time, the Bharatiya Janata Party, which was in power at the Center with majority for 10 years, had to be satisfied with less seats than the majority. The biggest reason for the reduction in seats of the ruling party is believed to be the Centre’s ignorance on issues of public interest. These are the issues on which the opposition can focus its attention and through this can corner the government.The opposition will try to corner the government on various issues ranging from frequent rail accidents to NEET and terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. The issue of election of the Deputy Chairman is also likely to be raised. There are chances of uproar in Parliament on these issues.During the traditional all-party meeting before the Parliament session, the opposition will list the topics it wants to discuss in the session. However, the budget presented on Tuesday will be the main issue of the three-week long session ending on August 12.

It is believed that the Congress-led opposition will also raise the issue of unemployment and rural distress in the House. There are also chances of uproar over the ongoing crisis in Manipur. On July 8, days after visiting the violence-hit state, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi had said that the Congress and India would raise the need for peace in Manipur with full force in Parliament to put pressure on the coalition government.Nishikant Dubey told The Indian Express, “Traditionally and generally the budget session is only to discuss the budget and not to derail it. Budget is the most important thing and the country cannot run without it. Therefore, I hope the opposition will be constructive and pass the budget without any chaos.Congress MP Manickam Tagore told the English newspaper, ‘We all hope that the voice of the opposition will also be heard. We don’t just want to be hindered by the ruling party; We are ready to discuss people’s issues. We want the session to be more productive.Let us tell you that in the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha last month, the opposition adopted an aggressive stance, due to which there was continuous disruption during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address in the Lok Sabha. Similar stance of the opposition is likely to continue in the budget session starting from Monday.
