Delhi Election Results 2025: Who will be the CM from BJP?

#News Bureau February 8,2025

BJP is going to get the power of Delhi state. It is moving towards getting a huge victory by defeating Aam Aadmi Party. BJP did not present the face of CM in this election. Because of this, the first question now is who will be the CM:

The past decade has seen major changes in Delhi’s political landscape. The AAP emerged as a formidable force in 2013 by ending the 15-year rule of the Congress and forming a short-lived 49-day government, with outside support from the Congress. In the 2015 assembly election, the AAP won a landslide victory, securing 67 of the 70 seats. The BJP, which had 32 seats in 2013, fell dramatically to four in 2015. In 2020, the AAP maintained its dominance with 62 seats, while the BJP improved marginally to eight seats. Meanwhile, the Congress failed to win any seat in both 2015 and 2020.

The counting trends have indicated BJP’s victory in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. The next big question that is in front is that of the next Chief Minister. However, it will take several days to decide. PM Modi will address the workers at the party headquarters at 7 pm on Saturday. The party will then appoint observers, who will meet the MLAs. This is just a formality. The name decided by the party high command will be the CM. The party high command has given such a surprise in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana.

Some of the names that are coming forward are Pravesh Verma, MP Bansuri Swaraj and Ramesh Bidhuri. At the time of writing this report, Pravesh Verma has won the election. Pravesh Verma is considered to be the man of Union Home Minister and party high command number 2 Amit Shah. Amit Shah has been putting Pravesh Verma on duty during the Jat movement, UP-Haryana-Rajasthan elections, farmers’ movement. Pravesh Verma is credited with bringing prominent leader of Western UP Jayant Chaudhary (RLD) into the NDA alliance. It was Pravesh Verma who arranged Jayant’s meeting with Amit Shah. Immediately after defeating Kejriwal on the New Delhi seat,, Pravesh Verma’s claim seems strong.

After winning the election, Pravesh Verma tweeted again. He wrote on the tweet – The darkness is gone/ The sun has risen/ The lotus has bloomed. … Delhi has chosen development. This victory is of the trust of Delhi, this victory is of the future of Delhi, I am grateful to the leadership of our successful Prime Minister and Home Minister Amit Shah and the hard work of each worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the trust of the people of Delhi. Congratulations to all the people of Delhi for this new dawn of Delhi!

Although BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri has lost from Kalkaji seat, he is considered to be one of the leaders in the race for the top post of the party in Delhi. If the party wants to make him the CM, then any seat in Delhi can be vacated and he can be made to contest the by-election. He stressed on Saturday that he is not in the game for personal gain or to become the Chief Minister, but actually wants to serve the people. Ramesh Bidhuri claims that AAP’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has destroyed Delhi in the last decade. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is poised to return to power in Delhi after 27 years, as the data of the Election Commission of India shows that BJP had taken a decisive lead since morning. However, AAP is still giving a tough fight. The worst hit in this election is Congress. It does not seem that it will get even a single seat at the moment. When Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was asked about the results, her answer was that she has not seen the results yet. During the counting of votes, Sandeep Dixit from New Delhi seat accepted defeat. Dixit got 3100 votes.
