Terrorist attack again in Jammu and Kashmir, two migrant labourers shot

There has been another targeted attack in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. Such attacks have been carried out continuously for the purpose of target killing in which terrorists decide whom to kill. Such attacks have increased in the state in recent times and common people have been targeted.
In a similar attack, terrorists shot two migrant laborers in Magam area on Friday. The two injured migrant laborers have been identified as 25-year-old Sofiyan and 20-year-old Usman Malik. Both are residents of Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh. They have been admitted to JVC Hospital Bemina in Srinagar. Both the laborers worked as daily wage laborers in the Jal Shakti Department. They were injured due to bullet shots, but their condition is said to be stable.
On receiving the information, security forces reached the spot and a search operation was launched to search for the terrorists. The latest attack on outsiders in Jammu and Kashmir is the fourth attack on migrant workers in the last two weeks.
The terrorists had targeted non-Kashmiris on October 24. Then they shot a laborer. He was seriously injured. Earlier, terrorists had killed a doctor and six migrant workers by firing at a construction site in Sonamarg area of Ganderbal district.
The doctor and workers who were targeted were part of the construction team working on the Z-Morh tunnel, which connects Gagner in Ganderbal in central Kashmir to Sonamarg. Officials had said that the attack was a well-planned attack, involving a terrorist who had recently returned from Pakistan.
Officials named the two militants as Hureera and Khubaib. Hureera had returned from Pakistan and was operating between Ganderbal and Harwan.
On October 18, militants killed a migrant worker from Bihar in Shopian district. Locals found the bullet-riddled body of the worker in Waduna area of Zainapora in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Incidents of targeting non-Kashmiri people are increasing continuously. Terrorists are now targeting migrant workers and construction workers.
It is believed that target killing started in Jammu and Kashmir from the 90s. Terrorists have been trying to create an atmosphere of fear among the common people by target killing in the valley. Till now, terrorists have made hundreds of people victims of target killing.
