Brij Bhushan’s son and close friend return to WFI; Wrestlers warned
The country’s top wrestlers Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik have threatened to resume their protest after Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh’s son Karan Bhushan Singh was elected president of Uttar Pradesh Wrestling Association. Both are also unhappy that Brij Bhushan’s close aide Sanjay Singh will return as WFI president after United World Wrestling lifts his suspension and Brij Bhushan’s son has now taken over as the association president in UP.
With their objection being that decision-making powers at the state level and in the WFI are in the hands of Brij Bhushan loyalists, Sakshi and Bajrang threatened to resume their protest on social media. Sakshi Malik has written an open letter on Thursday. In this he has asked how WFI was reinstated even after the suspension of the ministry over serious irregularities.
