Shahbaz Sharif becomes PM of Pakistan for the second time, announcements for farmers

Pakistan National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Sunday announced that PML-N Chairman Shehbaz Sharif has been elected as the 24th Prime Minister of Pakistan after securing 201 votes. PTI’s candidate for the post of Prime Minister, Omar Ayub Khan, got 92 votes. After the announcement of his victory, Shahbaz hugged elder brother Nawaz.

After being elected the 24th Prime Minister of Pakistan, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif thanked his elder brother Nawaz and all his colleagues for trusting him and making him the leader of the House. As soon as Shehbaz spoke, PTI-supported MPs raised slogans of ‘thief’ from the opposition benches. Shahbaz said, “When my colleague was elected Prime Minister thrice, the development that took place in the country is an example in itself. And it is not wrong to say that Nawaz Sharif is the one who created Pakistan.” He also said that the country will always remember the sacrifice of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
