This correspondence was sent to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. Subsequently, it was leaked to the press on January 19. The letter marks a total pivot in the President’s narrative. For years, Trump had openly coveted the Nobel Prize. He often cited his role in “ending 8 wars PLUS.” However, the tone has now shifted from aspiration to open defiance.
“I No Longer Feel Bound to Peace”
The letter surfaced amidst a heated row over the 2025 award. Notably, the prize was given to Venezuelan leader María Corina Machado. In response, Trump made an extraordinary admission. He told Prime Minister Støre that he no longer feels constrained by the “ideals of peace.”
