Ayodhya gang rape: Politics heated up after bulldozer action, SP said – DNA test should be done

BJP’s politics shone on the basis of Ayodhya. Ram temple was also constructed before the Lok Sabha elections. BJP thought itself invincible but when the results of the 2024 general elections came out, BJP had lost the Faizabad (Ayodhya) seat. Recently, in the same Ayodhya district, a teenager was gang-raped and the name of the SP leader came up in it. The police had arrested that SP leader and his companion on 30 July itself. But on Friday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath entered the case and after that the district administration sealed the bakery of the SP leader calling it illegal and demolished it completely on Saturday. SP is already being defamed in this case but after the photo of the main accused with SP MP Awadhesh Prasad came out, the matter has taken a different turn. SP has now demanded a DNA test to find out the truth in this case. BJP gives political colour
A BJP delegation led by Rajya Sabha MP Baburam Nishad will visit Ayodhya to meet the family members of the minor girl who is accused of gangrape by two people including SP leader Moeed Khan. BJP leader Baburam Nishad said- “The party has directed me and UP government minister Narendra Kashyap to go to Ayodhya (to investigate the incident)… This is a very sad and shameful incident… Strict action should be taken in this case. All those who commit such an incident should be taught a lesson…” This whole matter happened when the Chief Minister met the victim’s family in Lucknow on Friday. After the meeting, two policemen were also suspended.
What did MP Awadhesh Prasad say
Faizabad (Ayodhya) MP Awadhesh Prasad said, “…This incident is very painful and shameful… All the people related to this incident should be investigated. The truth should be found out and whoever is guilty should be handed over to the law and strict action should be taken against them… Police should also take action without any pressure. Samajwadi Party is standing with the victim… I have to say with regret that BJP is doing politics on this. I request such people that this is not a moment of politics, this is a moment of sympathy… Whoever is guilty should be taken action against…”
Avadhesh Prasad also said- In my entire political life, I have never allowed anyone who has had any connection with crime to stay with me. Thousands of people come to me to get their photos clicked, so it does not mean that I know the person whose photo is with me.
Akhilesh’s attack
SP President Akhilesh Yadav has also given a statement on this issue. Akhilesh said- The way of justice should be found by getting DNA test done of those who are accused in the case of misdeed, and not by doing politics by just making allegations. Whoever is guilty should be given full punishment according to the law. But if the allegations are proved false after the DNA test, then the government officials involved should also not be spared. This is the demand of justice.
In this case, on July 30, bakery owner Moid Khan and his employee Raju Khan were arrested from Purakalandar area. According to police sources, both of them had raped the teenager two months ago and also recorded this act. This incident came to light when recently medical examination revealed that the teenager is pregnant. Moid Khan is said to be a leader of SP.
On Thursday, in the state assembly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath claimed that Moid Khan is from the Samajwadi Party. He said, “Moid Khan is from the Samajwadi Party and is a member of the Ayodhya MP’s team. He has been found involved in the rape case of a 12-year-old girl. The Samajwadi Party has not taken action against him.” The case took a political turn only after the CM’s statement .
Another FIR
The police have registered a new FIR in this case. In the case registered in Kotwali Nagar area, SP leader and Nagar Panchayat Bhadarsa President Mohammad Rashid, SP leader Jai Singh Rana and another person are accused of threatening the victim’s family to settle the matter. That is, political people have been separately wrapped in this case. The FIR of gangrape is separate from this.
The FIR alleges that at 11:00 pm, accused Jai Singh Rana along with an unknown person went to the District Women’s Hospital, where the victim was admitted, and threatened to kill her family if they did not agree to the settlement. At the same time, another accused Mohammad Rashid had earlier pressured the victim’s family to settle the matter. This FIR has been lodged by Ramsevak Das, resident of Pipri Bharatkund of Purakalandar police station.
