Probationary IAS officer Pooja Khedkar’s case took a new turn on Tuesday. Pooja Khedkar has filed a case of harassment against Pune District Collector Suhas Diwas. Diwase had complained to the Maharashtra government about his alleged abuse of power, due to which he was transferred to Washim. Only after this incident, questions started being raised on her claim of disability and she continued to get embroiled in controversies.
Probationary IAS officer Pooja Khedkar has filed a police complaint against the Pune district collector alleging harassment, PTI reported quoting officials. NDTV, quoting sources, reported that Khedkar had called the police to his home yesterday to share information on some cases. According to the report, he had talked to three women policemen from 11 pm to 1 am.
Khedkar was transferred from Pune to Washim last week to serve as Additional Assistant Collector. India Today, quoting sources, reported that the police had gone to Pooja Khedkar’s house on Monday night to investigate the case. In a letter to the Chief Secretary, Divas had highlighted Khedkar’s demands. The 2023 batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre was demanding special facilities from the Collector’s office, which no probation officer gets.
Following the report of the District Collector, Khedkar was transferred to Washim district to complete his training. Allegations of abuse of power led to information about him allegedly forging a disability certificate to pass the civil services examination.
