Microsoft’s glitch on Friday affected everything from flights to supermarkets to banking operations. The pace of business has stopped in many countries including India. At the time of writing this report, Microsoft has not been able to resolve this technical issue. In India, almost all the airlines Vistara, IndiGo, SpiceJet and Akasa Air are facing technical problems due to this reason.Microsoft software problems are affecting booking, check-in and flight updates. Airlines are now manually checking passengers.

“Yesterday, CrowdStrike released an update that began affecting IT systems globally,” Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said in a statement on Twitter. “We are aware of the outage and are working closely with CrowdStrike and the entire industry to provide technical guidance and support to customers to safely bring their systems back online.”



“IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav says she is in touch with Microsoft to resolve the widespread outage. He said that the reason for this has been known. Will be resolved soon.”

Delhi Airport has said that some services have been affected. “Due to the global IT issue, some services at Delhi Airport were temporarily affected. We are working closely with all our stakeholders to minimize the inconvenience to our passengers. Passengers are requested to contact the concerned airline. Stay in or get help.”
Apart from India, Australia is also among the most affected countries. According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the Microsoft outage affected ABC News 24, which struggled to run news packages. The crisis then affected Woolworths supermarkets where the checkout system crashed due to the outage.Many customers also complained that their cards were not working. The police system also collapsed.
Reports say the London Stock Exchange has been affected by the outage. The US Federal Aviation Administration said all flights of several major US airlines, including Delta, United and American Airlines, were halted in the morning. 911 emergency services have also been affected in many US states. British news channel Sky News was off air for hours.
